The Arizona Daily Sun is a three day newspaperinFlagstaff, Arizona, United States.[2][3][4][5][6] It is published on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. It publishes an entertainment supplement on Thursdays called "Flagstaff Live!". It also publishes a monthly magazine, Northern Arizona's Mountain Living Magazine.

History[edit]

Artemis E. Fay published the first issue of the weekly Peach Springs, Arizona Champion on September 15, 1883. On February 2, 1884, he relocated the paper to Flagstaff. In May 1891, the paper was renamed to The Coconino Sun.[7] On August 5, 1946, the paper was again renamed to the current Arizona Daily Sun.[8]

The paper was owned by Scripps League Newspapers, which was acquired by Pulitzer in 1996; Lee Enterprises acquired Pulitzer in 2005.[9][10] The paper was sold to Wick Communications in 2023.[11]

Starting June 27, 2023, the print edition of the newspaper will be reduced to three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Also, the newspaper will transition from being delivered by a traditional newspaper delivery carrier to mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service.[12]
