Brian Norman Jr. (born November 23, 2000) is an American boxer who has been competing in boxing since 2018. Since May 2024, he is the current WBO interim welterweight champion. As of June 2024, he is ranked as the world's seventh-best active welterweight by The Ring,[1] and ninth by BoxRec.[2]

Early life[edit]

Norman was born in Decatur, Georgia on November 23, 2000.

Professional career[edit]

In December 2022, Norman left TGB Promotions and signed with Top Rank.[3]

Norman faced Quinton Randall for the vacant WBO international welterweight title on November 16, 2023. He won the bout by unanimous decision to win the title.[4]

In his first title defense of the international title, Norman face Janelson Bocachica on March 2, 2024. The bout ended in a no contest after both boxers sustained cuts to their foreheads.[5]

Norman faced Giovani Santillan for the vacant WBO interim welterweight title on May 18, 2024, at Pechanga ArenainSan Diego, California.[6][7] He won the fight by knockout in the 10th round with uppercut to win the title.[8][9]
