Bridget Mary Rice (née Heneghan; 7 May 1885 – 9 December 1967) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician.
She was born on 7 May 1885 in Louisburgh, County Mayo to Walter Heneghan and Bridget McGreal.[1] Her brother John Heneghan was a Columban priest. A postmistress, she married Eamon Rice on 1 September 1914, and they had four children.[2]
Her husband Eamon Rice was a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Monaghan constituency from 1932 until his death in 1937. No by-election was held to fill his seat, but Bridget Rice was elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil TD at the 1938 general election for the same constituency.[3] She was re-elected at each successive election until she retired from politics at the 1954 general election.[4]
