CoreHW is a Finnish fabless semiconductor company that specializes in providing integrated circuits (ICs) and indoor location solutions for various industries.

History[edit]

CoreHW was established in 2013 as a semiconductor design house with the mission to design ICs for global companies. Since 2017, Panostaja has held a 55.8% majority share in CoreHW.[4] The company aims to achieve a turnover of 100 million euros by 2026.[5]

Products and services[edit]

Since its inception, CoreHW has been designing and supplying IC solutions for IoT, Telecommunication, Automotive, and Wireless industries.[6] In addition to its IC design service, the company has developed an extensive semiconductor intellectual property (IP) library.[7] This expertise has enabled CoreHW to offer a Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solution to support Angle of Arrival (AoA) indoor positioning systems and indoor tracking.[8]

Administration and personnel[edit]

CoreHW employs approximately 75 people and is headquartered in Tampere, Finland, with additional offices in Helsinki, Oulu, and Turku.[9] Since 2013, Tomi-Pekka Takalo, one of the co-founders, has served as the CEO.[10][11]
