Dede Gorgud Park in 2018.

The Dede Gorgud Park (Azerbaijani: Dədə Qorqud Parkı) is a park in Baku, Azerbaijan. The park is located in the Narimanov district. It was opened on 13 December 2013.[1] The park was opened on the site of the former children's railway (1947-2009).[2]

The park is the second-largest park in Baku, second only to the Baku Seaside Park. The total area of the park is 6 hectares, in the center there is a large artificial lake, the area of which is 2 hectares. An underground reserve pool with a capacity of 1200 cubic meters was additionally built for the lake with a total water volume of about 25 thousand cubic meters. The presence of the lake allows locals to learn how to canoe and kayak. In the park itself there is a monument in the form of a book dedicated to Dastan Kitabi Dede Gorgud. This monument was created by the sculptor Göyüs Babayev.[2][3][4]
