  • Comment: Being indexed by Scopus would seem to satisfy WP:NJOURNALS #1.b, but we need to see evidence of that (as well as referencing for the entire draft). DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:59, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

The "Annals of Silvicultural Research" is peer-reviewed journal that focuses on publishing original research articles, review papers, and technical notes related to silviculture. Silviculture is a branch of forestry concerned with the cultivation and management of forest trees for timber production, ecological restoration, conservation, and other purposes. The journal is published by CREA - Research Centre for Foresty and Wood and it belongs to the CREA Journals periodicals collection.

The journal covers a wide range of topics within silviculture, including:

  1. Forest ecology: Articles exploring the interactions between forest ecosystems, including studies on biodiversity, nutrient cycling, and ecosystem dynamics.
  2. Forest management practices: Research on various silvicultural techniques, such as thinning, regeneration methods, stand improvement, and sustainable forest management strategies.
  3. Tree physiology: Studies investigating the physiological processes of trees, including growth, reproduction, responses to environmental stressors, and adaptation mechanisms.
  4. Forest genetics: Research on the genetic diversity, breeding, and selection of tree species for desirable traits, such as growth rate, wood quality, and resistance to pests and diseases.
  5. Sustainable forest development: Articles focusing on the integration of economic, social, and environmental considerations in forest management planning and decision-making.

The journal aims to facilitate communication and collaboration among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders involved in the management and conservation of forest resources. It provides a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge, innovative practices, and practical solutions to address current challenges facing forest ecosystems worldwide.

The journal is indexed by the following Scholarly Databases:

  1. Scopus
  2. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
  3. CAB Abstracts
  4. Google Scholar
  5. Sherpa-Romeo
