Liliya Busarova (born 1977, Oktyabrsk, Kuibyshev Region, RSFSR) is a Belarusian artist.[1][2] currently living in Poland.

Biography

In 2002, Liliya Busarova graduated from the Faculty of Folk Culture at Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University. She has illustrated 5 children's books for the "Belfax" publishing house and engaged in designing merchandise products for the "Colorful Parasol" company, including original magnets and cups. In 2015, as part of an international project in the Netherlands, she illustrated the children's book "Mama gaat het niet geloven" / "Mom Won't Believe It". Liliya is a dedicated contributor to the book project about 16 outstanding women of Belarus "She Was", curated by the curator Irina Solomatina/"Gender Route". She also illustrated the book "Stefka and the Birthdays" published by "Yanushkevich". She is a participant in the International Festival of Book Illustration and Visual Literature "Morse" (2019). Lilia Busarova has been repeatedly nominated for her contributions and active collaboration with Belarusian writers to preserve the Belarusian national heritage[3]

Liliya Busarova's work includes illustrations, book graphics, sketches, puppetry, ceramics, and amateur theater performances. She masters watercolor and collage techniques.

In May 2024, she was invited to illustrate the curatorial research "Belarus: Fashion as a tool to resist the regime"[4]byLudmila Christeseva, published in the Global Bar Magazine.
