Lyfeguard Limited is a financial technology company based in London, United Kingdom. It was founded in 2021 by Gary Stewart and Fraser Stewart. The company develops software for personal information management, which includes features like cloud storage, personal financial management and file sharing. It serves both business and consumer markets, providing software to wealth management professionals and individual consumers.[1][2]

    History[edit]

Lyfeguard Limited was established in 2021 by Gary Stewart and Fraser Stewart.[3][4] The business initially operated under the name My Halo Life Limited and was renamed Lyfeguard Limited in July 2022 after securing £260,000 in Pre-Seed funding.[5]

The company began offering its services to the public in February 2023 and entered into partnerships with various service providers such as Farewill for will writing, Hometree for home cover, and ManyPets for pet insurance.[6][7][8] In October 2023, Lyfeguard integrated open banking functionality through a partnership with Moneyhub. Subsequently, Lyfeguard was registered as an agent of Moneyhub by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).[9][10] In 2024, they established a partnership with Adviser Services Holdings Limited (ASHL).[11]

    Product and services[edit]

Lyfeguard offers its software via a web application that is available on a subscription basis. Its products are divided into two main categories:

    Wealth management and financial advice[edit]

This category includes customer relationship management (CRM) systems, cloud-based client portals, portfolio management tools, and functionalities for integrating financial data, reporting, and collaboration.[12][13]

    Direct-to-consumer[edit]

Lyfeguard provides a freemium subscription service, which includes a basic free tier and a premium tier, Lyfeguard Pro. The service offers data storage, financial account integration, and information sharing features.[14][15]

    Management[edit]

Gary Stewart, co-founder, serves as the CEO. Prior to founding Lyfeguard, he led Xceed Consultancy Group until its acquisition in 2018.[16][17] Fraser Stewart,[18][19][20] is the co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer.[21]

    Awards and recognition[edit]

In 2024, the company was featured on the Sky TV program "Venture Visionaries".[22] It achieved Authorized Firm status from the Personal Finance Society in March of 2024.[23]
