Erich Wenk (12 August 1923 – 30 March 2012) was a German bass-baritone singer in opera and especially in concert. He was a professor of voice at the Musikhochschule Köln
Career

Wenk was born in Königsberg [1] [2] Liebesliederwalzer Erna Berger , Gertrude Pitzinger and Walther Ludwig .[1] [2] Fidelio NDR , conducted by Carl Bamberger [de , with Gladys Kuchta and Julius Patzak in leading roles.[3] Die Gezeichneten Thomas Stewart and Evelyn Lear in leading roles, conducted by Winfried Zillig .[4] Pimpinone Bach-Collegium Stuttgart , alongside Yvonne Ciannella .[5]
Wenk appeared in oratorios such as Haydn's Die Schöpfung Ein Deutsches Requiem Städtischer Musikverein Gütersloh Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie Frank Martin 's In terra pax Christmas Oratorio [6] Elias Rheingauer Kantorei Radiosinfonieorchester Frankfurt Rheingauer Dom in Geisenheim and the Marktkirche Wiesbaden Klesie Kelly .[7]
Wenk is regarded as a specialist for the works of Johann Sebastian Bach .[2] Bach cantatas with Fritz Werner and Helmuth Rilling , among others. In a 1966 recording of the dramma per musica Preise dein Glücke, gesegnetes Sachsen , BWV 215Rase nur, verwegner Schwarm [1] [8] Mass in B minor in 1956/59 with the Schwäbischer Singkreis Stuttgart , conducted by Hans Grischkat .[9] St Matthew Passion Ljubomir Romansky [de at the Salle Pleyel , with Josef Traxel as the Evangelist and Helmut Fehn as the vox Christi [10]
From 1969, Wenk was professor of voice at the Musikhochschule Köln [1] [11] Lohmar .[1] [2]
