The sportoffootball in the country of Malawi is run by the Football Association of Malawi.[1][2][3] The association administers the national football team, as well as the Super League of Malawi. Football is the most popular sport in Malawi.[4]

The Nyasaland Football Association was formed in 1938.[5]

In the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Malawi reached the second round of the competition for the first time.[6]
