The glass headstander, (Charax gibbosus), is a species of fish [2] in the genus Charax. commonly known as the transparent tetra.

Description[edit]

The glass headstander can grow up to 14 cm long and weigh up to 30 grams.[3]

Taxonomy[edit]

Eucynopotamus gibbosus[4] and Salmo gibbosus[5] are taxonomic synonyms for Charx gibbosus [6][5]

Distribution and habitat[edit]

The glass headstander mainly lives in South America.[3]
