The Halosphaeriaceae are a family of fungi in the Sordariomycetes class, subclass Hypocreomycetidae .[1] marine fungi with a few species are from freshwater and terrestrial habitats (Jones et al. 2009,[2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
As of 2015, it had 141 species distributed among 59 genera,[3] [1]
