Kharda- Kharda is a major village in Jamkhed taluka. This village is of historical significance as the famous Bhuikot fort is located here. The tallest saffron flag in India will be hoisted on this fort. Nannaj is a very famous village in Jamkhed taluka. Ashadi Yatra is famous in Nannaj village. Various interesting programs are organized in this yatra.
Jamkhed taluka has a population of 158,380 according to the 2011 census. Jamkhed had a literacy rate of 63.69% and a sex ratio of 920 females per 1000 males. 34,017 (21.48%) lived in urban areas. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 12.99% and 1.43% of the population respectively.[4]
