Jayati DeviorJayati Munshi (Bengali: জয়তী মুন্সী) was the wife of noted Indian painter Annada Munshi, who played significant role in the expansion of Indian Tea marketing under Tea Market Expansion BoardinIndia in the 20th century.[1][2][3] She was the first Bengali lady to appear as a model for an advertising venture of the then Tea BoardinIndia.[1][4] She was married to Annada Munshi in the year 1934, and played a crucial role in the expansion of Munshi's artistic excellence and heritage. She was mentioned in the book named Munshianay Chollis Purush (inEnglish: Forty Men on Excellence) which was authored by noted researcher and writer Santanu Ghosh, and also a documentary titled Shilpe Munshider Munshiana (inEnglish: Excellence of Munshis in Arts) directed by Partho Mukherjee.[1][4]
