Jos Alukkas Jewellery is a renowned jewellery brand from the southern state of Kerala, India. The brand has been a popular and promising presence in the gold, diamond and platinum jewellery industry for almost 60 years. It has been quite the journey from a small family-owned business in the little town of Thrissur, Kerala to now becoming a jewellery brand with presence across states in India.[1]

    History[edit]

The brand story began in the year 1964 with Mr Jos Alukkas, the visionary. He started with a small jewellery unit in his hometown of Thrissur and gradually worked his way to build a brand that is now globally recognized. He introduced the standardization of gold with the 916 purity certification, which became the accepted quality benchmark in the jewellery industry. The group, under his leadership introduced the concept of ‘gold supermarkets’ with large format stores and a large collection to choose from. Under the inspiring leadership of Jos Alukka, the Jos Alukkas Group expanded across states and today the brand has 60+ larger format jewellery showrooms all over India with 5000+ direct employees.

The Jos Alukkas Group is now steered by Chairman Jos Alukka and his sons, Managing Directors Varghese Alukka, Paul J Alukka and John Alukka. They have brought their skills, business acumen and futuristic vision and helped the brand soar to greater success. Each of them heads a specific business vertical and have today made Jos Alukkas Jewellery a brand across India.

Always ahead of times, Jos Alukkas Jewellery was one of the first jewellery brands to launch an online store https://www.josalukkasonline.com/ which made jewellery shopping quicker and more accessible. Jos Alukkas has an exquisite collection of jewellery, all made from certified and finest quality of gold, diamond and platinum.

The Jos Alukkas Group also has realty division Jos Alukkas Properties, which has over 20 successful projects all over south India.
