Kahmard (Dari: کهمرد) is a town in and the capital of Kahmard DistrictinBamyan Province in northern Afghanistan.[1]
Kahmard was conquered from Murad Beg, the KhanofKunduz, by Dost Mohammad Khan in the Afghan Turkestan Campaign of 1838-39.
