The Kale massacre happened on 6 April and 7 April 2021 during the Myanmar protests (2021-present) when the Myanmar Army attacked a roadblock manned by pro-democracy protestors in Tahan Ward, Kale, Sagaing Region with automatic gunfire and grenade launchers. Then, the soldiers raided numerous clinics. A ragtag militia fired back with improvised percussion-locked firearms. Five people died instantly while more than 20 people were wounded.[1]
