Leptestheriidae is a familyofcrustaceans in the order Spinicaudata.[1] They are distinguished from the family Cyzicidae by the presence of a rostral spine.[2] Members of Leptestheriidae are believed to graze on detritus.[1]

The family contains five extant genera:[1]
