The California Golden Bears softball program is a college softball team that represents the University of California, Berkeley in the Pac-12 Conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.[1] The team has had six head coaches since it started playing organized softball in the 1972 season.[2]

  • ^ Cal played as an independent in their first season before joining the NCIAC from 1973 to 1976. They then were members of the Northern California Athletic Conference from 1977 through 1982 and the Northern Pacific Conference from 1983 to 1986. The Pac-12 Conference, then known as the Pac-10, began sponsoring women's sports in 1987.
