Telugu cinema consisting of films in the Telugu language. It is one of the largest film production centres in India. In 1957, the epic mythological film Mayabazar became the first Telugu film to gross ₹1crore. The 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and starring Chiranjeevi, was the first Telugu film to collect a share of ₹10 crore at the box office.[1] In 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning became the first Telugu film to gross ₹500 crore. Its 2017 sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first Indian and Telugu film to gross ₹1000 crore.

Saaho earned a sum of Rs 439 crore worldwide.
Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam was made on a budget of around Rs300-350 crores. However, the film failed at the box office and collected just Rs 200 crore.
Srinu Vytla-Mahesh Babu combo ensured that Dookudu created a new box office record in the history of Telugu cinema.
The total collection made by Pushpa at the domestic box office stands at Rs 322.6 crore.
