Lyons is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP)[5] located within Bernards Township, in Somerset County, in the U.S. stateofNew Jersey.[6] As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 228. Lyons is 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-southeast of Bernardsville. Lyons has a post office with ZIP Code 07939.[7]

Economy[edit]

The Lyons VA Medical Center is a U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital located here.[9] 38 buildings, containing neuropsychiatric patients resided here in 1931. In 2018, it employed 60 physicians.[10]

Transportation[edit]

The community is served by New Jersey Transit train service at the Lyons station[11] on the Gladstone BranchtoNewark Broad Street Station and Hoboken Terminal.[12]
