Maring Naga, are a Tibeto-Burman ethnic groupofNortheast Indian state of Manipur.[2] They live in the Chandel district along the north border and in the Tengnoupal district.[3] They speak the Maring language belonging to the Southern Naga.[4] However, the Marings identify with the Naga people.[5] The Marings have a system of hereditary chiefs.[6]
