Mikhaylovsky District (Russian: Миха́йловский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-twoinPrimorsky Krai, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the krai. The area of the district is 2,741.4 square kilometers (1,058.5 sq mi).[4] Its administrative center is the rural locality (aselo) of Mikhaylovka.[3] Population: 34,437 (2010 Russian census);[5] 37,541 (2002 Census);[9] 44,150 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Mikhaylovka accounts for 26.6% of the district's total population.[5]
It includes Novoshakhtinsky ([1]) and Kremovo, whose airfield was abandoned in 1998.
The district was formed on January 4, 1926.[2]
