The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Hindi: कौशल विकास और उद्यमशीलता मंत्रालय) is a ministry of the Government of India which came into existence on 9 November 2014[2] and gazetted on 8 December 2014. After the formation of the first government of Narendra Modi on 26 May 2014, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports was renamed as the "Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports" and was thereupon bifurcated after a cabinet reshuffle on 9 November 2014. The official gazette notification was published on 8 December 2014.

The ministry is responsible for coordination of all skill development efforts across the country. The ministry was formed with matters pertaining to industrial training, apprenticeship and other skill development responsibilities which earlier belonged to the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The ministry aims to remove the disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, to build the new skills and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also for jobs that are to be created.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is headed by the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is occasionally assisted by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is the junior minister in the ministry. The first minister was Rajiv Pratap Rudy who was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) and served between 9 November 2014 and 3 September 2017. The current minister is Jayant Chaudhary who holds the rank of a minister of state (independent charge) since 10 June 2024.
