Moravany nad Váhom (Hungarian: Moraván) is a village and municipalityinPiešťany District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.

History[edit]

Venus of Moravany

Inhistorical records the village was first mentioned in 1348.

A small female figurine called the Venus of Moravany was found near the village.

Geography[edit]

The municipality lies at an elevation of 200 metres and covers an area of 10.786 km². It has a population of about 2041.
