Nirmal Kumar Dhara is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. In May 2021, he was elected as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Indas (constituency).[1][2][3][4] He defeated Runu Mete of All India Trinamool Congress by 7,220 votes in 2021 West Bengal Assembly election.

Nirmal Kumar Dhara is the poorest MLA in India, with no bank account, personal insurance, property or any other form of non-movable assets. His total assets are worth only Rs. 1700.[5]
