Niwasaka Station (庭坂駅, Niwasaka-eki) is a railway station on the Ōu Main Line in the city of Fukushima, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Lines[edit]

Niwasaka Station is served by the Ōu Main Line (Yamagata Line), and is located 6.9 km from the terminus of the line at Fukushima.

Station layout[edit]

Niwasaka Station has a single island platform and a single side platform connected to the station building by a footbridge. The station is unattended.

History[edit]

Niwasaka Station opened on 15 May 1899.^[1] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatizationofJNR on 1 April 1987. The current station building dates from March 2003.^{[citation needed]}
