Oisin Michael McEntee (born 5 January 2001) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL League Two club Walsall.

Early and personal life[edit]

Born in Shercock,[1] McEntee's father was a Gaelic footballer, and McEntee played at youth level for Shercock before concentrating on football.[2] McEntee attended Patrician High School in Carrickmacross.[2]

Club career[edit]

McEntee spent his early career with Cootehill, Carrick Rovers, Belvedere and Malahide United.[2] McEntee joined Newcastle United at the age of 16, captaining their under-18 team.[2] He spent time on loan at Greenock Morton before signing for Walsall in May 2022.[3][4] He underwent shoulder surgery in June 2022.[5]

On 21 November 2023, the club announced the player had extended his contract to 2025. [6]

International career[edit]

McEntee is an Irish youth international.[1][7][8] He appeared at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[2]
