Oleg Ivanovich Betin (Russian: Олег Иванович Бетин; 25 August 1950 – 17 June 2023)[1][2] was a governorofTambov Oblast in Russia. He was a member of Our Home – Russia party. In 1995 he became governor.[3] He was re-elected on 7 December 2003 with around 70% of the votes cast.[4] Under Betin, Tambov Oblast provided food shipments to war-torn Chechnya in 2000.[5]
Betin died from cancer on 17 June 2023, at the age of 72.[6]
His wife is Tamara Petrovna Betina.[7]
