Pterulone is a fungal metabolite. It was initially isolated from the mycelium and liquid culturesofwood-decay fungus in the genus Pterula. The compound inhibits eukaryotic respiration by targeting the mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase.[1]
