Ravi Jaipuria is an Indian billionaire business magnate and chairman of RJ Corp.[4][5] Under RJ Corp, he manages Varun Beverages which is the largest bottling partner for PepsiCo's soft drink brands outside the US and Devyani International, which is India's largest franchisee of Yum! Brands and operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee and TWG Tea outlets.[6][7] He is referred to as India's cola king.[8][1]

Career

Jaipuria studied business management in the United States and returned to India in 1985. He joined the family business as a bottler for Pepsi-Cola.[5] He also holds a minority stake in Medanta, a health care firm.[9]

Varun Beverages got listed on BSE and NSE after an initial public offering in 2016.[10] Devyani International got listed on the BSE and NSE after its IPO in 2021.[11]

As of December 2023, Jaipuria has an estimated net worth of approximately $14.2 billion as ranked by Forbes.[10]

Personal life

His wife's name is Dhara Jaipuria. [5][12] He has two children, one son named Varun and a daughter named Devyani.[6] He hails from a Marwari Hindu family.[5]He has a brother named CK Jaipuria, who owns units of Pearl Drinks Limited, a preform and bottling firm for PepsiCo.
