Place in Styria, Slovenia
Slivnica pri Celju (pronounced [ˈslíːwnitsa pɾi ˈtsɛ̀ːlju] Municipality of Šentjur , eastern Slovenia . The settlement, and the entire municipality, are included in the Savinja Statistical Region , which is in the Slovenian portion of the historical Duchy of Styria .[4]
There are two churches in the settlement. The parish church is dedicated to Mary Magdalene and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje . Of the original 16th-century church only the belfry remains. The rest of the building dates to the early 18th century. A second church, south of the settlement core, is dedicated to John the Baptist and dates to the late 17th century.[5]
