"Sneaky" is a song by Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage. It was released through Slaughter Gang and Epic Records as the fifth track from the former's third studio album, American Dream, on January 12, 2024. The song was produced by Coupe.[1]

    Critical reception

    [edit]

Writing for Clash, Robin Murray wrote that on the track, 21 Savage made "each bar count" and that the song "ooze[s] menace".[2] Pitchfork's Matthew Ritchie wrote that the song includes "a heightened version of his whisper flow arises on the hook" before "returning to truncated one-liners about Flipmode squad and sneaky links that hit like prizefighter jabs".[3]

    Composition

    [edit]

Matthew Ritchie for Pitchfork wrote that the "Coupe-produced trap beat that leaves you bouncing your shoulders without even noticing".[3] Writing for Rolling Stone, Mosi Reeves stated that the song is a standout on the album and it aids its success due to『21 Savage’s uninhibited, Lil Wayne-like punchlines』that he raps on the song.[4]
