Political career[edit]

Musthafa was elected as DCC (District Congress committee) president for 14 years in Cochin. He got selected as KPCC vice president, AICC member and prestigious party leadership in Indian National Congress (INC). K. He was again elected as MLA in 1982, 1987, 1991 and 2001 from Kunnathunadu constituency. He lost elections at Aluva in 1980 and Kunnathunadu in 1996.
