Bombing of Norway

[edit]

According to http://www.luftled.no/042003/lms_03.php 176 B-17s and B-24s took part in the bombing raid on Vemork, Norway. November 16 - World War II: After flying from Great Britain, 160 American bombers strike a hydro-electric power facility and heavy water factory in German-controlled Vemork, Norway. -Wikibob | Talk 23:13, 2004 Apr 7 (UTC)

Year by topic

[edit]

I have put a general comment on year layout on my talk page, particularly on the way year by topic is dealt with. There are three different variants and I would like agreement to standardise. BozMo(talk)

Trimix

[edit]

Deleted text below. Trimix had been in common usage among professional divers in the late 1980s, and sport divers in the early 1990's. Suggesting U869 was a trimix proving ground is inaccurate.

"In the underwater search for answers, some of the divers began using a then unproven and experimental breathing gas mix called "trimix" for underwater breathing instead of the standard compressed air. Trimix has subsequently become a standard gas mix for extremely deep diving." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.232.203.170 (talk) 09:04, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trivial entries

[edit]

In a year when there were huge numbers of massacres and deaths some of the entries under this year seem trivial. Surely if every massacre or sinking where more than 100 people died was included there would be hundreds of entries. ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.165.184.152 (talk) 16:08, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
