Death toll for storms 9 and 10

[edit]

The news source mentions a death toll of 14,174, in regards to a powerful cyclone that hit Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) in October 1960. I think this is actually the combined death toll for both storms. This source, a Chronology of major cyclones and storm surges in Bangladesh, has Cyclonic Storm Nine causing at least 6,000 deaths, and the second causing 8,149 deaths, which is 14,149 deaths, very close to what's mentioned in the newspaper. The same source also has an upper range for CS9 of 11,446, so there is some variability in the sources. @Cyclonebiskit: and others, any thoughts? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:23, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
