Untitled[edit]

Several small companies in East Bloc or Warsaw Pact Nations started to develop and produce Model cars for their local markets. Western European manufacturers in countries like Italy took notice and thus a new wave of cars came to existence. In the United States, backwoods inbred toy companies like ERTL from Dyersville Iowa wanted to expand their line away from Tractors and Chicken trailers and then copied the superior Soviet-Bloc designs by sending in spies at trade conventions to take photos and steal prototypes in order to learn more about the die-cast process.

this looks like vandalism to me

Moving this[edit]

I'd like to move this to 1:18 scale diecast replica or similar, to make room for a more general article about the scale, similar to the other scale articles, ie: 1:12 scale, 1:24 scale, 1:144 scale etc. Any objections? Siawase (talk) 14:17, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since there have been no objections, I'm going ahead with the move. Siawase (talk) 14:37, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Clarification?[edit]

Start of the third paragraph of the history section:

During the early 2000s the quality and accuracy of models improved dramatically and these problems were largely solved.

What problems were largely solved? Seems to be referring to a prior comment which isn't there.
