The lead is on the short side and doesn't summarise the article adequately per WP:LEAD. An expansion is needed before this part meets the GA criteria
"However, it wasn't until March 1805" - was not
"The men of these remaining small units were merged to form the new 1st Swiss Regiment," - per MOS:BOLD, use of bold should be confined to the lead
"and because the British mistook the 1st Swiss as the British De Watteville's Regiment (because of the almost identical uniform)" - the bracketed statement could be merged in this sentence
"Among the officers, one was killed, 1 mortally wounded, and 4 wounded" - write small numbers in prose
"to guard the (left) northern flank" - remove these brackets
"Life was far from perfect, however" - informal language
"led the Swiss into disaster and the annals of history" - too poetic for Wikipedia I'm afraid :-(
"toward the enemy yelling En avant le 2e!" - this should be in quotes
All three paragraphs in the Uniform section between with "1st Swiss" - needs mixing up
