Did You Know

A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on December 5, 2006.

The text of the entry was: Did you know ...that the 2004 Christmas Eve Snowstorm was the most significant snow event for southern Texas since 1895 with a maximum of 1.5 inches of accumulated snow?

Secularization?

[edit]

Please note: Secularization of this article will be reverted. The event is reffered to as the "Christmas Eve" snowstorm. As the event took place in a predominantly Christian location, and affected a major holiday, a Christian holiday in this case, the term Christmas is used, not "holiday." I just saw in the article history what you were replying to...removed my previous comment. I don't see Christmas in the title as being POV, since it is a fairly international holiday, and the way most people celebrate it is far from religious. If others bring it up, it would need to be revisited. We have at least one other storm related article that lists X-mas in the title. Thegreatdr 18:45, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

==Article completely|. Wording in a couple areas was redone to make the article sound more encyclopedic. Thegreatdr 18:36, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mexico?

[edit]

Given the fact that Brownsville, Texas is mentioned, I wanted to point out there Matamoros and Reynosa also received snow for the first time in over 100 years. Perhaps the title show should be changed? Because if Mexico is included, the title would be leaving Mexico out. ComputerJA () 04:54, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
