The note seems to be outdated. --134.176.204.199 (talk) 19:03, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For my calculation Bar is not mathematically qualify for this edition of CL, but they need at least one point. Because VAl need 29pt and RSO need 27pt to reach them, but on the 33rd matchday there is RSO-VAL. With RSO BAR is forward for the hth Goal Diff (7-4), but if also RMA reach exactly 74pt then BAR behind both for hth point (7Rma-6Rso-4Bar). Are this analysis correct? Stigni (talk) 12:28, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
what does CC stand for in the seeding? it's the team coefficient that determines seeding position, not the country coefficient. so i don't get the abbreviation. 92.196.117.136 (talk) 11:03, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This and this suggest they enter European competition only next year. Maybe it will be clear when UEFA publishes a news article about it. -Koppapa (talk) 14:07, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't it possible Benfica could end up in Pot 2, if both Arsenal and Valencia make the group stage? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.58.38.198 (talk) 10:01, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Since people add seedings I start a discussion here.
The second leg is played 6 and 7 August, with the draw after at August 9 in Monaco. Therefore all teams going to the playoff-round will be seeded after their own CC and not like previous round were they could take the point from the team the beaten (they took highest CC in that match when making the draw, therefore "winners of match involving..."). The teams will be divided into seeded/seeding TBD/not seeded when they go through to second round. Or does anyone have another idea? QED237 (talk) 13:02, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What does everyone say? Does it look good now when practically all of the matches/teams are at TBD? QED237 (talk) 14:15, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
According to the link below: "The UEFA Champions League play-off draw consists of ten clubs in each of the champions and league routes. In the champions route the seeded teams will be from the five third qualifying round ties with the highest-ranked sides, regardless of who went on to win.". Perhaps I am reading this all wrong, but should not this mean that, for instance, Maribor already are seeded in the play-off round since they won over APOEL (CC: 35.366)?

Who will be the opponent for Schalke if Charkiw is excluded? --134.176.204.73 (talk) 21:44, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Anderlecht CC: 44.880 has not any chance to be in Pot3. Because it's CC is lower than all of below teams except 3 Please edit it.

Since both Milan and PSV are higher than Bayer, there is no way for Bayer to be in Pot 3, and so are destined to be in Pot 4. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nayefjuve (talk • contribs) 18:08, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But if Lyon wins over Real Sociedad they will qualify for pot 2 and then Zenit and Bayer will take place in pot 3. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.76.244 (talk) 18:16, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't Real Sociedad going to pot 4 if they win and Bayer to pot 3. Correct me if I'm wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.76.244 (talk) 18:24, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My bad, I was counting without realizing Zenit was already added and so counted it twice. Also, yes if Sociedad win they go to pot 4 allowing Bayer to be in pot 3. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nayefjuve (talk • contribs) 18:28, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Zenit is already in pot 3 since both AC Milan and PSV has a higher club coefficient. So they will take a place in pot 2 together with either Juventus or Lyon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.76.244 (talk) 18:10, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2013.html
Zenit is higher than PSV but lower than Milan so they can be in pot 2 if PSV win but in pot 3 if Milan win.
Okey. Looked at trank 2014, thats why. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.76.244 (talk) 18:18, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi everyone. Please do not add statistics until the official sources has added them. The risk otherwise is that someone watches the game and see that "Oh, Ronaldo scored" and adds a goal for Ronaldo. Then the next editor, also watching the game, comes to do the same thing and suddenly Ronaldo has gotten two goals. We build these tables on source and when the source are updated we update our statistics. Thank you! QED237 (talk) 22:28, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Why is Dortmund ranked below Arsenal? Teams are ranked by goal difference, and theirs is higher (also, they are ahead of Arsenal in direct comparison as well).. 2A02:8070:483:5900:DC02:8250:4334:DBB9 (talk) 01:05, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Diego Costa has never played for the Spanish national team (even if he says he will do). He has, however, played for the Brazilian national team, so until he plays for Spain, the Brazilian flag should be retained. You could read about this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 60#Nationality flag. As a note FIFA lists him as brazilian at player profile. Copenhagen can reach 7 pts at the most and if they reach 7pts they lose on tiebreaker to Gala and juve so at least one will be ahead. They tiebreaker is matches amongst teams in question and they have 1 loss ans 1 draw against Juve and goal diff 2-3 against gala. You can read it from UEFA here. Since teams are individual entities and therefore take the singular case according to Cambridge dictionary, Bayern Munich is the defending champion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.39.47.67 (talk) 04:41, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

While experienced fans might know that Team 1 hosts Leg 1, that was not stated anywhere that I could find. If I, a moderately experienced fan, didn't know this, I guarantee other, less experienced folks, also didn't know this, so I added the info. Rks13 (talk) 15:10, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What's the purpose of the numbers in the aggregate column in the quarter-finals table? They just confuse matters. I suppose they indicate the match number, but why use the aggregate column?--A bit iffy (talk) 20:48, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Bayern were defending champions until they lost to Real Madrid in semi-finals. They can't be "defending" when they already lost.--Mijcofr (talk) 22:23, 29 April 2014 (UTC) Bayern were champion for 2012-2013 edition, not defending anymore — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mijcofr (talk • contribs) 21:54, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, "they are champions until someone else claims the trophy", that's correct, but not defending champions.--Mijcofr (talk) 14:32, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Athletico Madrid 3-1 Chelsea
Question: What I believe the score is correct, it was Madrid 0-0 Chelsea and Chelsea 1-3 Madrid as the matches ended. Is it wrong somewhere and in that case where is it wrong? QED237 (talk) 19:14, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
