Shouldn't this page be updated in light of recent events? Mass stabbings in Jerusalem and other Israeli towns, riots and stone throwing in West Bank, plus Hamas have stated officially that the third Intifada has begun? Silent Intifada → Late 2014 Israeli-Palestinian unrest – The term "Silent Intifada" is too vague. The name in the Hebrew Wikipedia is "Palestinian and Israeli Arab unrest (2014)", noting that "Silent Intifada" is just a name used by public. Other names used are "Wave of riots in East Jerusalem" or "Wave of violent protests in East Jerusalem". Oppose Based on WP:COMMONNAME, this is the common name used in English reporting. Just because in Hebrew it might be different doesn't mean that the English page needs to follow the Hebrew, we follow the commonly recognized name. - GalatzTalk16:52, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Support in principle - it was certainly no intifada (uprising), but rather a local and limited violence event, which some tried to "promote" to uprising. I do not like however the word "late" in title - it is very vague. Maybe "July-November 2014 Israeli-Palestinian unrest" or even better - "July-November 2014 Jerusalem unrest".GreyShark (dibra) 07:36, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, violence spread to other places in the region including Kfar Kanna in Northern Israel, Petah Titkwa in Central Israel and also into the West Bank. Maybe "Jerusalem" is better since most of the violence indeed occured in Jerusalem but not all the significant events. I don't oppse Jerusalem completely.. If there would be more support for that I would go with that. You see, I go by the agenda in "Israeli-Palestinian conflict (2015)" in which for some odd reason people insisted not to have a name such as "Palestinian unrest" because they strictly claimed that the two Jewish attacks (of which one was accidently aimed against Jews) are enough to not call this a "Palestinian unrest/wave of violence" and write "Israeli-Palestinian" even though over 140 people were killed in terror attacks of Palestinian protsts and wounded figure goes between 3000 to 14000, all of which injured by IDF forces during violent protests, a number of over 1,500 rock/molotov throwing incidnets is not enough to cover up less then few dozens recorded Israeli rock throwing incident and even though the whole Palestinian media calls it an "Intifada", the Israelis call it an "Intifada" or a "(Limited) Uprising" (according to IDF) and even the Arabic article call it "Palestinian Uprising"...

The result of the move request was: moved, unopposed. There still seems some debate about whether this is the absolutely ideal title, but clearly it's superior to the current one so no need to let this drag out. Week support: It was mainly in Jerusalem and the casus was Jerusalem, but it was more of a Palestinian unrest rather than a Jerusalem unrest. Last time I offered it people were like "noo but one Israeli man wounded some Palestinians so it's an unrest of both sides"... Anyway I don't think "Silent Intifada" is the correct name even if it's a name used by the media. For the Palestinians it's not "silent" at all, it's their riot against whatever Israel did, this is only a term useb by Israeli media. No one agreed on "Wave of Terror" for the current phase, becuase they don't like the word "terror", so you can't use one title because it's an Israeli media common name, and oppose a simmilar one, becuase it violates WP:TERRORIST. This was no close to an intifada and it was not silence. The term "silent intifada" was coined by idiot right-wing Israelis who want Israeli media to make a 1 hour news report on a stone throwing.--Bolter21(talk to me)14:29, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
