Thanks[edit]

Thanks to all who've worked on this page. I have a decent amount of new information to add. Feel free to make any changes.

Requested move 26 April 2019[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved to 2018 NFC Championship Game. Consensus does not support the title "officiating controversy". — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:50, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2018–19 NFC Championship Game2019 NFC Championship Game officiating controversy – The blown "pass interference" call is what made this game notable in the first place, so the title should reflect that. WuTang94 (talk) 17:14, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). WuTang94 (talk) 17:16, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This page seems to focus mostly on that one play in particular. Maybe we should rename it "2018-19 NFC Championship game officiating controversy" or "2019 Rams-Saints officiating controversy" (which I prefer), unless there is an official name for the play such as "No call". --WuTang94 (talk) 01:46, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
EDIT: Just for clarification, Agree would mean changing the title to "2019 NFC Championship game officiating controversy" and Oppose would mean the title would stay as "2018–19 NFC Championship game", which was the title when I opened this debate.--WuTang94 (talk) 16:31, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment @Ejgreen77: This isn't the place to propose deletion. Please create a new section for that. Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 13:48, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Regarding "2019 incident"[edit]

I question as to why this section was ever deleted. Of course it wasn't as major as the 2018 Championship game, that's why it doesn't have it's own page. It seemed related and notable enough to earn a section in this article. All of the news said that the Saint got cheated again, which makes it relatable to this event. Before you delete it again, please discuss. Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 01:56, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2018 NFC Championship GameNOLA No-Call – The play now has an official name, and was the main reason this game is notable. Also, "NOLA No-Call" is catchier and more concise than "2018 NFC Championship Game". WuTang94 (talk) 00:57, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
