Table of winners and nominees[edit]

Is there a way to edit the table, so that it looks like the table from this article ---> 73rd Academy Awards? The last row (Best Visual Effects) looks better if it takes up only "one block" ... and does not "extend to the right", over to the "next block". In other words, the final rows should consist of two blocks (Best Visual Effects and just an empty block). I think this looks aesthetically better than one long extended block, which is out of sync with the rest of the chart. As I said, an example is here ---> 73rd Academy Awards. But, I was not able to figure out how to manipulate the chart correctly. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 20:35, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I figured out how to fix this ... and I did so. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 14:04, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

There are a lot of photos to the right. These "force" a lot of blank white space, due to the tables/charts below. Why not put all the photos in a "photo gallery" at the bottom of the article? (Similar to this page: Angels in art). Just an idea. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 14:29, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That way, we can put as many photos as we want. And we don't have to limit the number, due to any concern for resulting white space (as the Comment Note in the "editing view" indicates). Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 14:34, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 7 July 2021[edit]

I want to add some links. Goosenoodle (talk) 13:33, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You need to be alot more specific in what you want to add and/or change. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:25, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RfC about the format of final row in Awards section[edit]

Due to the odd number of award categories, they don't neatly fit into the two columns per row. The current format of the final row for this page is the following:

However, the style used by other pages for the Academy Awards use this format:

It's been argued that the latter format places undue weight on the category by implying that it's more significant, but it also been stated that the former is inconsistent with the other Academy Award ceremonies pages. Which format should be used?2601:249:9301:D570:899A:E22B:2167:7F2C (talk) 19:55, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’m sorry, I can’t see who disputed your edits? Spanning the row across two columns is the best solution and it’s not clear that there is any disagreement. It’s for this reason that discussion should generally take place before an RfC (per WP:RFCBEFORE). I’m going to cancel the RfC for now, and a new one can be started if discussion here cannot resolve to a clear consensus. — HTGS (talk) 20:56, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And to reiterate: I support the double-wide cell at the bottom, and as no one reverted your edit, you would be fine to reinstate it yourself. Joseph A. Spadaro proposed it above and made the change above in 2021, and I can’t quickly see when that was undone.
If there is a neat way to instead make the Best Picture cell double-wide then I would prefer that, but I think it would throw off all the other cells being neatly arranged, so probably not ideal. — HTGS (talk) 21:01, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, RfC statements must not contain tables - this is why. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:19, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding reversions, it had previously been undone here and here. 2601:249:9301:D570:1469:F023:AE39:1F33 (talk) 16:35, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
