Consensus not to merge. This has been open for about a year and there is no use letting it sit at the top of the article for any longer. Four users have rejected the application of WP:Songs, while another has not addressed it. If there is question about the nobility of Tiësto's track for a stand alone article, that should be brought to AFD; and if there is question over the title of Adagio for Strings (Tiësto song), that should be brought to that article's talk page. – Aza24 (talk) 23:16, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:Songs, same song, keep all together. Richhoncho (talk) 22:47, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A merge would disimprove both articles. Maybe the album where it first appeared, Just Be, would be a better merge candidate. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 04:31, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They are not the same song. Barber's original music is one of the saddest pieces of all time, and tiesto's is an uptempo remix. They are completely different. Emanu1674 (talk) 06:15, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No merge please. Barber's composition isn't even a song. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:22, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Completely disagree with this suggestion. They are not the same "song". The articles should not be merged. PSmythirl (talk) 23:35, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support merge; it's a trance remix of Barber's original, better seen as an alternative instrumentation, coupled with truncation. This makes it an adaptation, which would fit well in Adagio for Strings#Adaptations. The absence of lyrics suggests that the term song in the title is also misleading, in the common-use sense of the term. Klbrain (talk) 16:47, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
