I am hoping that someone can contribute more history and developement into this article. I have heard that in the early days of aviation the lavatory was a "glory hole". In historical sections, the article glosses over the disposal of waste, whether in-flight dumping or after landing. This needs improved coverage. Reify-tech (talk) 16:09, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
