The archeological site was my grandfathers (Jose Manuel Helguera) land. I don't know who gave the archeologists the rite to dig but it happened. Anyway back in the day we would visit my grandfather and we played in "las reinas"(the ruins),as my grandfather would call it. I still have pictures.
I am wondering if any body knows about the visits from the Chinese. There has been talk about some artifacts that were found on the site that resemble an Asian teacher/scholar/king... I would like to talk to some of those who documented the dig. Does anyone know anything about this?
I await to hear from anyone out there.
