Controversy Section?

[edit]

There are a handful of relevent incidents at American University including hazing, strikes, and sexual harassment allegations going uninvestigated. There are, of course, a laundry list of further articles that are worth linking, but I wanted to hear opinions about adding a controversy section. A couple of these articles focus on student actions specifically, and not that of the University, however, many focus on the university themselves.

Some examples:

I recommend that you first try to work this information, assuming that it meets WP:DUE, into the existing history section where it can be contextualized. ElKevbo (talk) 22:46, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

More Notable Alumni

[edit]

I know it's important to avoid bloating this page into crazy proportions, but I think it may be worth adding the following folks. I'm sure I missed a couple, but this emphasizes that perhaps it's worth breaking the "notable alumni" section into occupational field? The number of politicians/US Representatives who come out of AU's undergrad or graduate programs is substantial enough to support it.

- Susan Wild (US Representative, D-PA-07, current)

- Stacey Plaskett (Delegate for the Virgin Islands, current)

- Julia Brownley (US Representative, D-CA-26, current)

- Ken Bentsen (US Representative, D-TX-25, former)

- James Collins (US Representative, R-TX-03, former)

- Gwen Graham (US Representative, D-FL-02, former)

- Tim Huelskamp (US Representative, R-KS-01, former)

- Chris Jacobs (US Representative, R-NY-27, former)

- Don Manzullo (US Representative, R-IL-16, former)

- Betsy Markey (US Representative, D-CO-04, former)

- A. Donald McEachin (US Representative, D-VA-04, former)

- Esteban Torres (US Representative, D-CA-34, former)

- Robin Tallon (US Representative, D-SC-06, former)

- Bill Shuster (US Representative, R-PA-09, former)

- Bud Shuster (US Representative, R-PA-09, former)

- Edward Schrock (US Representative, R-VA-02, former)

- Loretta Sanchez (US Representative, D-CA-46, former) Ajstahovec (talk) 18:43, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
