Croatian descent?[edit]

"Brnabić is of Croatian descent and her father originates from [the] Croatian island Krk." Who said that? Just because her father originates from a Croatian island doen't mean he isn't a Serb or anything else. What about her mother? Usually someone descends from a father and a mother. And using a Croatian newspaper article as a source for the english-speaking Wikipedia is pretty meaningless. So we have an assertion in contest here.--87.184.136.181 (talk) 08:15, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is an article about her grandfather and his siblings, all Croats. Here it is:[1] --Killuminator (talk) 01:05, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's a Croatian article written in Croatian. Still useless for the english-speaking Wikipedia.--87.184.140.176 (talk) 08:01, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Any English written article would be based on local media no? It doesn't make the information any less true. --Killuminator (talk) 16:53, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But it doesn't make the info comprehensible for readers who don't know Croatian. It could be written in Icelandic for that matter and talking about fishing gear. By the way, a Serbian friend told me about an official statement: Her father's father is a Croat from Krk, while all the rest of her family are Serbs. So there is not much about a Croatian descent, but a reference that she has also a Croatian family. Of course this is not verifiable as there is no English version. So it's a useless information for this article just like your newspaper. There you go.--87.184.142.179 (talk) 07:41, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sectioning[edit]

The article needs to be broken into separate sections, this way, the article appears like a short biography, and this is not a standard for Wiki articles in this category. --Reollun (talk) 20:35, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Legally not a mother[edit]

Template:Infobox person states that the field "partner" refers to the domestic partner. Domestic partnership does not exist in Serbia. No jurisdiction in the world recognizes Đurđić as Brnabić's partner or spouse and no jurisdiction recognizes Đurđić's son as Brnabić's son. This has been noted by gay rights organizations in Serbia. They point out that by law, Brnabić is no more than a roommate to her girlfriend and can be no more than a nanny to the child they are raising. That said, we should inform our readers that Brnabić is in a relationship with Đurđić and that Đurđić gave birth to a son. We should not name Brnabić as a parent. Surtsicna (talk) 18:07, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated vandalism[edit]

There have been repeated cases of vandalism following the controversy surrounding Ana Brnabić's recent comments about Kosovo; please be alert. JulianFT (talk) 21:12, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Genocide denial[edit]

The section deals with Brnabić's denial that Srebrenica massacre was a genocide. It literally says that Brnabić denied it. Denying something is a denial. It is in no way biased. If the word "denial" implied the veracity of the claim being denied, it would be entirely pointless. On the other hand, stating that Brnabić expressed an opinion about the Srebrenica genocide is problematic because, among other things, it implies that Brnabić recognizes it as a genocide. Surely she cannot have an opinion about something she denies ever happened, can she? In that sense, "Srebrenica genocide opinion" might even be against WP:BLP. Surtsicna (talk) 18:06, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Covid fail?[edit]

@Honar Ismail Wehid: Do you have any WP:reliable source for this edit? If you do, you can add it back, but please, do not add it in the wp:lead section. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:24, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Children[edit]

@Pjesnik21: What are you doing [2]? The article clearly says that her partner Milica Đurđić gave birth to a boy. Do you have any reliable source that claim that Brnabić herself has a child? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:44, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just because Brnabić didn't give birth to the child herself doesn't mean she isn't its parent. The fact she is a same-sex relationship shouldn't have any bearing on this. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 01:07, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Amanuensis Balkanicus: But, then again, the mare fact that her partner gave birth to the child does not make Brnabić a parent neither. We need a reliable source that says she is the parent. Currently, there is no such source cited in the article, so the claim about the child should be removed form the infobox. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:53, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
