Dory Langdon Previn[edit]

There is some confusion about the name of Previn's second wife, Dory Langdon Previn. She was born Dorothy Langan, but by the time Previn married her she was known to the world by her nom de plume, Dory Langdon. See Dory Langdon. --Alan W (talk) 16:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Father's name?[edit]

The intro paragraph states that Andre Previn was born with the name Priwin. The only way I know that this could be is if his father's name was Priwin. Yet in the next section on his "Early Life" it states that he was the child of Charlotte and Jack Previn. This requires some sort of explanation. --72.87.182.181 (talk) 21:56, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"He is considered one of the most versatile musicians in the world"[edit]

Not in total disagreement but I am wondering about the substance of this statement.

Jasdasra (talk) 22:32, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reported dead[edit]

BBC Radio 2 reported Previn dead and broadcast an Obituary by Nick Higham. David Crayford  17:07, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of Death[edit]

He died from an infection that resulted in kidney and liver failure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.38.189.88 (talk) 18:15, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Learning his lines in a taxi is a total myth, as is the ad-lib[edit]

“Because of other commitments, the only opportunity available for Previn to learn his part in the show was in the back of the taxi from the airport, but the talent he showed for comedy won high praise from his co-performers“

Total rubbish. Who wrote this? DaveGalaxy (talk) 12:39, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Children[edit]

The note in the infobox says 10: "3 biological and 7 adopted".

So what are the true numbers? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:40, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This source, now added, clarifies that Lucas Alexander was biological and Li-Ann Mary was adopted. So I think the note should say: "10: 6 biological and 4 adopted". Martinevans123 (talk) 11:14, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
