I should be able to review this within a few days. Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 01:32, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I just wanted to say that this'll be the first TNG article to have the Nielsen rating included. After much searching at the end of last year and the beginning of this year for a reliable source I gave up. Then yesterday whilst searching for the ratings (and failing) for a version of "The Trouble with Tribbles" that I've been working up in userspace, I stumbled across a link to a now non-existent page on TrekNation. One trip to the Wayback Machine on archive.org later and viola. The full set of Nielsen Ratings for TNG, DS9 and most of Voyager (heck, the Voyager ones even contain commentary about the other shows in the same timeslot! I'm feeling very pleased with myself because I'd managed to find the ratings before but not on a reliable site. Miyagawa (talk) 09:32, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad you were able to track some down! Believe me, I know how difficult it can be, especially with reliable sources. Ruby 2010/2013 15:58, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Added the appropriate wikilink at the end of the first paragraph. Miyagawa (talk)
  • The only ones that really survived are for the stand out episodes that were picked up by major news sources. For example, the season openers/finales and pretty much the episodes that are easy to recall. For episodes such as Angel One which pretty much filled up time while waiting for a better episode to come along, they just didn't get picked up like that. Just an aside, it seems like every Star Trek episode I read/review on Wikipedia has negative reviews. I talked to a friend about this and he says I somehow manage to find the episodes with the most negative reception (Like "The Naked Now")! Funny. Anyways, I'll place this review on hold for seven days, the usual. Nice work! Ruby 2010/2013 15:58, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Its a side effect of my expansions. I've concentrated on season one so far for a two-fold reason; the first is that it's the stick to the later (and better) episodes carrots, and plus one of the re-watches on Den of Geek is only just finishing up season one now. Once I start doing episodes like "The Best of Both Worlds", "Tin Man" or "The Inner Light" then you'll see some very overwhelmingly position reviews. :) Unfortunately the first season was mostly bad. Really bad. Roddenberry wanted to be Star Trek, but it had to be new Star Trek. For example, he initially banned all Vulcans from the show. Things got better after the writers strike at the start of season two, although that did mean that we got to see an episode of Star Trek Phase II at the start of season two. Ah, I see. Article looks good to go. Well done! Ruby 2010/2013 19:51, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
